Roatan whole wheat
  • Dutch Fika's Roatan sourdough bread is inspired by the island Roatan (Honduras). To the freshly stone-milled heirloom wheat, black cacao and espresso extract is added. The bread is made using the 'methode en direct' (proofing within 3h) and weighs about 1lb 5oz (550 - 600 g).

    • The ingredients in a Roatan sourdough bread are very simple: wheat, water, salt and levain for the fermentation 

      AND black cacao plus a shot espresso, which lend the bread an almost purplish color and a wonderful complex flavor that pairs well with both sweet and savory (no surprise there!).
