This rye berry mix contains organically grown heritage rye varieties like Danko (Polish), Wrens' Abruzzi (Italian) and Bono (German) rye. Rye berries that are boiled for ca. 1 h can be kept in a closed container in the fridge for 14 days. Spinkled on a salad or mixed in a soup, rye berries are an excellent source of fiber and carbohydrates as well as micronutrients. In the metabolic balance program, 25 g of cooked rye berries equals one portion of rye bread.
