The Danes, Swedes and Germans love their rågbröd/schwarzbrot; a full bodied sourdough bread made with coarsely stone-milled grains.
Our rågbröd is available in 2 variations:
Seeds - with sunflower seeds and pepitas,
Fruit&Nuts - with hazelnuts, figs, apricots, sunflower seeds & pepitas.
Dutch Fika rågbröd - per lb
Rågbröd ingredients include: freshly milled Rye and Emmer, water, date syrup, salt, sunflower seeds, pepitas and wild yeast from our rye sourdough starter. This bread is made using a pre-ferment method with a fermentation lasting from 3 hours to overnight to develop a very subtle lactic flavor with a crisp crust and moist dense crumb.
The Fruit&Nut Rågbröd also contains raw hazelnuts, dried apricots and dried figs.
